For a long time, the medical prototype was the male. However, many diseases have gender-specific causes and symptoms that are often still under-researched. This continuing education evening focuses on women’s health, such as sleep apnea and hypertension in women.

The focus will be on two key topics: sleep apnea and hypertension in women. Dr. Miriam Marchon will open the evening with her presentation, "Sleep Apnea in Women: It’s All About Sex - Respiratory Diseases in Women." She will highlight the unique challenges and differences women face in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.

In the second lecture, PD Dr. Claudia Ferrier-Guerra will address the question: "Hypertension in Women: Special or Different?" She will discuss the gender-specific aspects of hypertension and explain how the disease manifests differently in women compared to men.

Participation in this continuing education event will be awarded with credits.
